Ki$$fin is a personal finance education platform teaching the WHY behind investing — not just the HOW and WHAT. Founded by Rohit Gupta with over 30 years in international financial services, Ki$$fin offers a book, tailor-made training sessions (introductory to advanced, online or face-to-face), and a blog covering personal finance, mutual funds, and individual stocks.
About Rohit Gupta
Rohit Gupta has over thirty five years of international experience in the financial services industry. With a passion for personal finance education, he has published articles in The Business Times (Singapore), Smart Investor (Singapore and Malaysia), The Accountant (Australia), and The News (Bangkok)
His book Ki$$ (Keep it Simple Stupid): Stocks to build a second source of income was published in Sep. 2020 and is available on Amazon as well as book-stores in Singapore.
He has been interviewed on TV - Biz Talk with Ryan Herpin @NowMedia TV, (USA) and Radio - Your Money with Michelle Martin @89.3FM (Singapore)
Over his career, he has had the opportunity to work and live in seven countries and through multiple crises: the Asian financial crisis (Indonesia, 1997); SARS (Singapore, 2002); the global financial crisis (Malaysia, 2007); swine flu pandemic (Mexico, 2009); the eurozone debt crisis (Turkey, 2011), and COVID (Singapore 2020). Yet the economies recovered and rebounded from each. What cannot be recovered is time lost.

Why No Calculators?
I hear this a lot: "Why doesn't Ki$$fin have a compound interest calculator, a retirement calculator, a mortgage calculator?"
Fair question. Here's the honest answer: those calculators already exist, for free, everywhere — your bank has one, your brokerage has one, there's one built into your phone. Kissfin isn't trying to duplicate what's already out there. My job is to make sure you understand what those numbers actually mean before you plug them into a calculator. Once you understand why compounding works, any calculator makes sense to you. Without that understanding, a calculator just spits out a number you don't trust and won't act on.
So instead of building another calculator, I focus on the concepts that make the calculators useful in the first place.
