Over his career, he has had the opportunity to work and live in six countries and through multiple crises: the Asian financial crisis (Indonesia, 1997); SARS (Singapore, 2002); the global financial crisis (Malaysia, 2007); swine flu pandemic (Mexico, 2009); the eurozone debt crisis (Turkey, 2011), and COVID (Singapore 2020). Yet the economies recovered and rebounded from each. What cannot be recovered is time lost.
